Day 61 11-12

Today, we head out to Summer palace(颐和园) at 10am.
we took the train to reach summer palace(颐和园)

The weather today is excellent, with no haze at all. This means that we are able to take beautiful and stunning pictures. hehe 😁 And breathe fresh air 😎
The summer palace is a vast ensembles of lakes, garden and palace. It serves as a tourist destination and recreational parks for the locals. To enter you will need to buy tickets which cost at 50元/tic. They do sell year ticket which i think is for the locals who like to visit the park as a recreational activities. The summer palace is really pretty. Prettyyy big. We walked around for 5 hours to admire the weather and the environment.

Also, architecture features in the palace. With the knowledge we attain in Chinese Culture, we were able to understand why the palace have certain features.

When we were walking around, we spot onto an interesting stall which it sells minuscule rocks. The cool thing about it is that the Shifu will carve wordings on the small rocks. You will need to use a magnifying glass to see the wordings clearly. We were really impressed by how skillful the Shifu is to be able to carve on the rocks. Some of us bought it as souvenir for our family.

Sadly, we are not able to see the whole of summer palace as the palace is very big and we stopped to take photos several times.
