We met up with Mr Danny Lee and the 3 student volunteers from BTBU at 8am@International House. We then started our day by walking to Baiduizi Station, a 10-15mins walk from the campus.

The University was very big and i was surprised that many buildings had western influences, similar to some buildings in UK universities such as in Oxford.

We finished walking around the university compound around noon, we then took the train and headed to the bird's nest stadium. When we arrived, there was a marathon going on and many areas were blocked off. We only managed to get a good shot of the stadium after taking a huge detour!

At about 3pm, we proceeded to Nan Luo Gu Xiang, a famous tourist street that sells food and many other souvenirs.
We spent about 1-2 hours there before going to JingShan park, known for it's view of the forbidden city at it's summit. We took a 10 minute bus ride from Nan Luo Gu Xiang to JingShan park.

We spent quite a long time at JingShan park as we were waiting for the lights in the forbidden city to light up, which would be quite a magnificent view. Unfortunately, it was getting late and we decided to head back down and have our dinner.
We took a bus to Wangfujing and had our dinner at a restaurant called Grandma's place.

The meal was very satisfying and it only cost S$8/pax! After dinner, we headed back to the hostel and prepared for lessons the following day, which was a Sunday. It was a make-up class for the Mid-Autumn festival where we had a day off.
That's it for now! We'll continue updating the blog with more interesting adventures! Stay tune!
Cheers, BTBU 2016
