Day 21 10-3

On the 3rd of October, we went to  蓝色港湾, a popular tourist area with many shops and restaurants. We left the school campus at 10am and we only arrived at the destination around 11.15am, approximately a 1 hour journey.

Taking the subway to  蓝色港湾
蓝色港湾, also known as Solana shopping park, is a European-style shopping center that has many international brands and restaurants, it is also located next to a lake. Located on the northwest bank of Chaoyang, 蓝色港湾is similar to Singapore's Clarke quay.

After taking a walk around the area, we proceeded to have lunch at a korean-italian restaurant in 蓝色港湾. It was quite crowded even on a monday, probably because it is currently the national day holidays (Golden week) in China, where they enjoy 7 days off.  Below are some pictures of what we had for lunch:

Dishes we ordered

After eating, we continued walking around the area for another 1-2 hours, we headed back to campus at 3pm. Overall, 蓝色港湾 is an interesting place to visit due to it's European influences, which will be hard to find in Beijing's city center. Personally, i feel that 1 visit is enough, however, people might come back as there are many good restaurants available.

And that's it for now! Stay tune for more updates!

Cheers, BTBU 2016
