Day 37 10-19

On the 19th of October, Wednesday, we went to the great wall of china, the badaling section. It was a trip organised by BTBU and a total of 40 students went for the trip, including the student volunteers. We set off from campus at 12noon and arrived at badaling at around 1.15pm.

Upon arrival at badaling, we proceeded to take a group photo before taking a 10 minutes walk to the entrance of the great wall.

After taking the group photos, we proceeded to hike the great wall. However, due to time constraints, we only managed to explore for 2 hours. The weather wasn't ideal as there were no clear blue skies and was very hazy.

Although the weather was not ideal, we still enjoyed ourselves with the view of the magnificent great wall and the company among ourselves and the student volunteers.

At about 4pm, we made our way back down towards the bus and left badaling at about 4.30pm.

Heading back
Overall, it was a good experience visiting the great wall of china and some of us decided that we would revisit as we did not manage to spend enough time there. We arrived back in BTBU at 6.30pm and had russian-chinese food for dinner.

That's it for now, it was an enjoyable day and we will continue to update the blog with more interesting adventures! Stay tune!
